Essay Abstract

An examination of reality as we know and perceive it is presented and questioned in terms of defining reality as digital, analog, or both. The theories of reality as they have evolved over time are also analyzed with respect to their inadequacy to fully describe reality. I include a case study of the heating effect on a space vehicle entering the atmosphere from outer space as a means of depicting reality. In this essay, I offer an empirical means for a Unified Field Theory in an attempt to provide the meaning of reality, our capabilities in describing it, its evolvement over time, and its true nature. With this empirical approach, I propose an in depth analysis of the reality of nature and the nature of reality.

Dear Dr Martino

I agree fully with your highlighting of the importance of observer frame, which my own essay also includes, and how it's application and importance is often missed.

I remember reading a paper making it clear the impact and heat generation of a returning vehicle were generated a little way ahead of the surface, so it was not correct to think in terms of 'atoms hitting the heat shield' but scattering interaction and charge between fine structure and condensed ions. This told us a lot about quantum mechanisms, which is also consistent with the unified field model I describe.

My own essay is here.http://fqxi.org/community/forum/topic/803

I would be interested in how close, or far, you yourself feel it may be from yours.

Very best of luck.
