Essay Abstract

As processes of emergence are of central importance for the evolution of the universe and everything in it, a situation may arise in a distant future where a "decisive transition" will take place. The latter is defined as that future evolutionary phase where a logical depth necessary to comply with the number of computational steps, which would be required for a comprehension of the "meaning of the universe", is within the grasp of computations. In this Essay, an exemplary model for the evolution of evolution is discussed. As a résumé, three propositions for model construction are presented, which deduce from the interlockings of very simple sets of feedback mechanisms types of irreversible complex behaviour, which may entail a universal tendency towards ever greater logical depth.

Hello dear Mr Gerhard Groessing,

I loved your essay ,congratulations for your researchs and works .It's very relevant about the evolution process.

I work too since 12 years ,isolated but I work ,on an universal taxonomy .

The quantification in Time is so important ,That's why I classed all ,animals ,vegetals ,minerals ,atoms ,molecules ,planets ,stars...the eim for me is to link with the polarisation and the evolution .The step since 3.4 to 1 billions years ago is very important is the process of life .I am fascinated by these H C N O NH3 CH4 H20 ...the amino acids and their adaptation isincredible .

The fact to quantify correctly the elementary particles is essential for me in accepting the limits of course .

That's why I have invented the theory od Spherisation ,a GUT of rotating Spheres .The specific entanglement of quantum spheres is important thus the correct mass .My model evolves and has a big potential of adaptation .The complexification is relevant and I link with the prime and natural number for the good serie in my opinion .

The physicality thus is essential with its limits and laws.

I wish you all the best in your works ,I will read them with pleasure .

Best Regards and good luck for the contest.

The Essay is based of several not defined concept. The main problems are generated by the use of "meaning". Meaning is a category which necessarily requires some environment capable to associate some information to the information carried by the object considered. Unfortunately it is impossible to understand the definition of "meaning" assumed by the author. Several concepts lack of a rigorous definition, for example it seems that the author implicitly assumes some definition of periodicity. Which is the metric with respect such period is defined?

Without well defined categories of objects, it is very difficult to recognize the informative content of the conclusive propositions.

Dear Anonymous,

the periodicities referred to in my Essay are given in reference to the SI standards, as they are usually employed in physics. (Note that, for example, the second is defined in terms of periodicities relating to atomic states.) The metric is not considered relevant in this context.

As to the "meaning of the universe", one can say that the main thrust of my Essay is the following: It is impossible for us to know (and thus define) what it is today, here on earth, but there may exist a tendency in the universe such that, eventually, a meaning would emerge. The latter may happen, I argue, also on the basis of our present-day efforts, little as they may ever be.

Dear Steve,

many thanks for your interest and kind words.

Regarding your comment on spheres, I just want to point out that "fractal evolution" is concerned with fractal processes, not objects.

dear Mr Gerhard Groessing,

You are welcome.

In my opinion ,all is linked ,unified ,linked, boundednthus a fractal must be fundamental and correlated with all centers of interest.

If you insert the bad fractal in your process without any physicality and ITS LIMITS,

thus you are going to have a bad systems I think where the parameters are under falses laws.

The evolution is a specific process where the mass is essential ,thus all must be coordonated with these laws even for a computation system in accepting too what the intelligence can't be reproduce with a computer system .

The time too which builds these matters is important for the whole point of vue .

I beleive strongly that The evolution process can't have a real interpretation without this physical link .

The evolution is a pure evolution of objects ,matters ,bodies ,lifes ,intelligences....thus the virtual process too must be like that .

About the periodicities ,there too a specific sequence exists ,a specific serie with their specifics fractals .Without the good number ,the datas shan't be fundamentals .

A balance with the primes ,naturals ,reals,imaginaries...is essential ,without this balance ,the finite system don't evolve correctly .

Sincerely,Regards

Steve
