If you are aware of an interesting new academic paper (that has been published in a peer-reviewed journal or has appeared on the arXiv), a conference talk (at an official professional scientific meeting), an external blog post (by a professional scientist) or a news item (in the mainstream news media), which you think might make an interesting topic for an FQXi blog post, then please contact us at with a link to the original source and a sentence about why you think that the work is worthy of discussion. Please note that we receive many such suggestions and while we endeavour to respond to them, we may not be able to reply to all suggestions.

Please also note that we do not accept unsolicited posts and we cannot review, or open new threads for, unsolicited articles or papers. Requests to review or post such materials will not be answered. If you have your own novel physics theory or model, which you would like to post for further discussion among then FQXi community, then please add them directly to the "Alternative Models of Reality" thread, or to the "Alternative Models of Cosmology" thread. Thank you.

Chris Watkins speaking at the 6th International FQXi Conference, "Mind Matters: Intelligence and Agency in the Physical World."

The Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi) catalyzes, supports, and disseminates research on questions at the foundations of physics and cosmology, particularly new frontiers and innovative ideas integral to a deep understanding of reality but unlikely to be supported by conventional funding sources.

Maybe the AI, the machine learning .... is just about the fact that we mimate how we learn us the humans and how we encode these informations, the algorythms and boolean algebras and others don t seem to be sufficient because it lacks this consciousness of course but also the psychology and fith senses.

Several methods at ibm or others have considered the games , but it is not sufficient because it does not take into account this universal complementarity and furthrmore it is the competiton and non cooperative way wich is considered. It seems that we are mainly created to be cooperative. That implies so a ranking of possibilities and choices , not only the games non cooperative to win.The life is indeed not a gmae and the consciousness that we have has not been created for this.

We can create trees but onsidering my theory and these spheres, the spherical volumes become interesting and the densities for the informations too. A kind of heuristic general model can be utilised and the combinations seems infinite considering the senses added, the cognitive sciences, the psychology, the consciousness, the free will .....

The conclusion d be that in fact it is not a game and the aim is not really to win, but to take the good choices in function of this universal altruism.....
