If you are aware of an interesting new academic paper (that has been published in a peer-reviewed journal or has appeared on the arXiv), a conference talk (at an official professional scientific meeting), an external blog post (by a professional scientist) or a news item (in the mainstream news media), which you think might make an interesting topic for an FQXi blog post, then please contact us at forums@fqxi.org with a link to the original source and a sentence about why you think that the work is worthy of discussion. Please note that we receive many such suggestions and while we endeavour to respond to them, we may not be able to reply to all suggestions.

Please also note that we do not accept unsolicited posts and we cannot review, or open new threads for, unsolicited articles or papers. Requests to review or post such materials will not be answered. If you have your own novel physics theory or model, which you would like to post for further discussion among then FQXi community, then please add them directly to the "Alternative Models of Reality" thread, or to the "Alternative Models of Cosmology" thread. Thank you.

This elementary video describes a recently proposed theory of unification, the Aikyon theory. The theory builds on the deep connection between the octonions and the elementary particles.

Hi Tejinder, happy to see this work from You , congrats , I like also these octonions , I try to consider them with my 3D coded spheres in considering the non commutativity more the non associativity in subgroups , I have discussed with David Chester of the quantum gravity research of Klee Irwin, they have well worked about these octonions, this E8 is very important I beleive indeed. I just consider series finite of 3D spheres instead of points or strings. Thanks for sharing your work, I am going to see more and quietly look at your video.Friendly

I'm still digesting this part Tejinder...

I have some questions and I'll need to watch the entire video plus read the paper for detail. This sounds like exciting work. Atoms of S-T-M? An interesting treatment or way to solve the problem. I would wonder if a unit QG cell incorporating curvature is equivalent. I've been exploring a lot of different avenues lately. But the octonionic framework offers many advantages, as you know.

More later,

Jonathan

dear tejinder,

i have a question :

what lies beyond sedenions and after that?

since these are of the order of 2^n!

acc to indian philosophy there are 8 main dimensions and 8 sub dimensions which will be 64 dimension!and god resides in 65th dimension! acc to maths when we go to higher dimensions all lower dimensions are satisfied!such as when yogi's through meditation goes in higher dimension ,lower dimensions are purified!so if we be able to go beyond sedenions and after that it will be biggest success!

thanks ,
