If you are aware of an interesting new academic paper (that has been published in a peer-reviewed journal or has appeared on the arXiv), a conference talk (at an official professional scientific meeting), an external blog post (by a professional scientist) or a news item (in the mainstream news media), which you think might make an interesting topic for an FQXi blog post, then please contact us at forums@fqxi.org with a link to the original source and a sentence about why you think that the work is worthy of discussion. Please note that we receive many such suggestions and while we endeavour to respond to them, we may not be able to reply to all suggestions.

Please also note that we do not accept unsolicited posts and we cannot review, or open new threads for, unsolicited articles or papers. Requests to review or post such materials will not be answered. If you have your own novel physics theory or model, which you would like to post for further discussion among then FQXi community, then please add them directly to the "Alternative Models of Reality" thread, or to the "Alternative Models of Cosmology" thread. Thank you.

Baryogenesis is conservation law-violating post-Big Bang excess of matter over antimatter. Sakharov criteria include trace chiral anisotropic vacuum (inexact S_n improper rotation symmetries).

Noether's theorem couples exact angular momentum conservation with exact spatial isotropy. A net matter universe’s trace chiral anisotropic vacuum universally leaks Milgrom acceleration. Dark matter is uncreated. One must respect lattices.

Dear Reality Fans,

Any sensible person should know that reality could only have been provided by nature. The only irrefutable fact the physicists have been able to prove am that the real Earth had a real VISIBLE surface for millions of years before Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking ever appeared on that real VISIBLE surface and began publishing their utterly unnatural guesswork concerning finite invisible space/time and invisible finite black holes.. Reality was designed by NATURE to be fully understood by all living creatures in all places at all times. Physics was designed recently by white men to provide the most masculine obfuscating condescending pretentious unnatural improbable unctuous gratuitous information possible at the greatest cost. For example Andy Strominger’s unnatural guess that there are an (invisible) “profusion of symmetries, known as the BMS group, (that) gives empty (invisible) spacetime an enormous latent complexity. Put simply, there are infinitely many ways for (invisible) spacetime to be empty.” The only nature, that has provided us with real VISIBLE mountains, and real VISIBLE oceans, and real VISIBLE deserts, and real VISIBLE jungles, and real VISIBLE ice caps, and our real VISIBLE selves must have given to us the only VISIBLE reality allowed. There has only ever been, and there will only ever be one unified VISIBLE infinite surface ETERNALLY occurring in one infinite dimension that am always mostly illuminated by finite non-surface light.

Dear Dr. Kuhn,

Today’s Closer To Truth Facebook page contained this peculiar announcement:

“Many religions envision a radical transformation of reality. The supernatural intervention of God or God-like forces changes everything. What, conceivably, could this new reality be? What, conceivably, could happen next, and next, and next, and then after that, into eternity? If we want to...

It seems like this would qualify as a dark matter solution too. The lensing we see is a spacetime dislocation rather than any kind of matter. And these dislocations would have inertia like defects in a crystal do. Very elegant theory.

Dear Dr. Kuhn,

Today’s Closer To Truth Facebook page contained this peculiar announcement:

“Niels Henrik Gregersen is a professor in the faculty of theology at the University of Copenhagen. His two primary research fields are systematic theology and science and religion.”

I have freely posted this very sensible comment at the website and on the FQXi.org Community Board...

Dear Dr. Kuhn,

Today’s Closer To Truth Facebook page contained this peculiar announcement:

“What does it take to make a cosmos? What are the most basic building blocks—the forces, fields and particles? How do they work, and work together? How do these laws of nature, if they are laws at all, generate the smallest atom and structure the largest galaxy? Alan Guth is an American...

Very interesting! I didn't know that the gravitational wave memory effect had equivalents for electromagnetic and strong interactions.

I see that Strominger explains all these things in a book https://press.princeton.edu/titles/11355.html

Is it correct to say that all that happens leaves a permanent record in the fabric of spacetime, which could in-principle be detected and measured?
