CATEGORY: Trick or Truth Essay Contest (2015) [back]
TOPIC: mathematical tricks of today. physical truths of tomorrow: the symmetry, the queen of the physics. by Angel Garcés Doz [refresh]

Author Angel Garcés Doz wrote on Feb. 9, 2015 @ 21:57 GMT
Essay Abstract

Abstract. The beginning of the mathematical physics goes back to the investigations, principally, of Newton and Leibniz. With the development of the differential and integral calculus, the physics turned into an exact science. Newton, the excellent physicist of the whole history, could apply this calculation newly developed; to obtain the props of the kinematics and the clarification of the planetary movements with the law of the universal gravitation. Name all the physicists and mathematicians who from Newton have contributed of notable form to the advance of both disciplines, this one out of the area of this essay. But the names like Legendre, Gauss, Abel, Galois and a long list. Up to our days with: Schrödinger, Planck, Einstein, De Broglie, Lorentz, Feynman, Higgs, Nin Yang, Robert Mills, Edward Witten,... Abstract. All of them have had to use or invent new mathematical tools that have contributed to both disciplines. Sometimes the direction of mathematics to physics and vice versa. This essay will examine the mathematical concept of symmetry and its fundamental importance both current and in the classical physics. This small study on the symmetry will be relations with the existence of dimensional constants as Planck's constant, the speed of light, gravitational constant, etc. Likewise the symmetry, as already demonstrated Emmy Noether, expresses that any differentiable symmetry of a physical system, has its corresponding conservation law. Finally we will establish profound relations of symmetries with dimensionless constants or pure numbers. Abstract. These symmetries will come from the hand of groups of Lie and especially the possibility of connection of the order of the Monster group with the laws of physics. We will devote a small section to the partition function, obtained with imaginary parts non trivial zeros Riemman zeta function. Some of the mathematical tricks, of this essay, perhaps may be a day truths

Dear Angel,

You should be congratulated to put so many good things in your essay.

The only point is that one is a bit lost in the jungle.

I see that the Monster Groups is your cup of tea as is mine and many others.

Good luck,

Michel

Dear Garcés Doz,

Present universe is finite while time is asymmetry and thus symmetry and asymmetry coexists in this infinite universe, in that the energy that is causal for the origin of dynamics of the universe itself is asymmetry.

With best wishes, Jayakar

Dear Angel,

I thought that your engrossing essay was exceptionally well written and I do hope that it fares well in the competition.

I think Newton was wrong about abstract gravity; Einstein was wrong about abstract space/time, and Hawking was wrong about the explosive capability of NOTHING.

All I ask is that you give my essay WHY THE REAL UNIVERSE IS NOT MATHEMATICAL a fair reading and that you allow me to answer any objections you may leave in my comment box about it.

thank you very much dear Joe, for your comment.

I read your essay carefully. But I have to tell you in advance that I disagree in principle his proposal that the universe is not mathematical

Vladimir Rogozhin wrote on Apr. 7, 2015 @ 11:27 GMT
Dear Angel,

I totally agree with you that the idea of symmetry, invariance, and the fundamental constants - are keys to understanding the deep ontological connection mathematics and physics. I believe that Tradition tells us a principle that substantiates the symmetry and asymmetry in nature and directs the search to the single base of fundamental knowledge.

Today in fundamental science there is a deep crisis of understanding, crisis of representation and interpretation. This profound existential crisis of basic science - universal human problems. Mathematics and physics require a deep ontological justification (basification).

I invite you to see my analysis of the philosophical foundations of mathematics and physics, the method of ontological constructing of the primordial generating structure, "La Structure mère" as the ontological framework, carcass and foundation of knowledge, the core of which - the ontological (structural, cosmic) memory and information - polyvalent phenomenon of the ontological (structural) memory of Universum as a whole. I believe that the scientific picture of the world should be the same rich senses of the "LifeWorld"(E.Husserl), as a picture of the world poets and philosophers.

Kind regards,

some tricks, some brilliant ideas, some speculation, a lot of courage - the result is 8. I invite you to comment on the idea in my essay.

Thank you very much for your appreciation. Current physics, urgently needs to introduce the theoretical empirical concept of an acceleration caused by the energy of the vacuum. With this phenomenon can be calculated correctly anomalies in the solar system; as anomaly eccentricity orbit of the Moon; U.A increasing the sun, etc. Will comment on their work. Humbly thank you very much dear Branko.

I see that you woke up may be busy with other things. There is a small problem with the reply you gave me above: I leave you time to thing about it. Meanwhile I am giving you my vote and encourage you to continue your quest about the fundamental contants of physics.

Michel Planat replied on Apr. 21, 2015 @ 12:04 GMT
Dear Angel,

OK, with Phi=(Sqrt(5)+1)/2 your equation is fine. A remarkable approximation. Thanks. I am curious to understand what it means, if it is just a trick or a truth.

Dear Michel : The fibonacci spiral is there.

Galaxies, plants, human body, etc, etc

The golden ratio is connected to E8 group and more, including inflation factor of the universe and its rotation.

$\left[O(GM)/O(GMB)\right]\cdot\left[\ln(O(GM))-\ln\ln\left(\alpha^{-1}(0)\right)+\varphi/5\right]=m_{PK}/m_{e}$

$\alpha^{-1}(0)=137.035999173$

137.035999173 = inverse fine structure constant to zero momentum.

Truth.

What do you think?

Michel Planat wrote on Apr. 22, 2015 @ 09:03 GMT
Dear Angel,

If you put your two equations together you get the logarithm of the order of the monster in terms of pi and phi (about 124), a strange equation that you would have to explain.
