Essay Abstract

This presentation will address the fundamental problem that is preventing the meaningful resolution of the presently conflicting views held by experts and layman alike on the foundational problems facing science, religion, and philosophy. Within such a broad realistic framework the exact nature of time can be easily explained. However it appears that the nature of the problem is such that the answer that will be presented is not meaningful and cannot be made meaningful to people operating under the foundational principle here in explained as erroneous. The new principle must be seen in its own light not in the reflected light of an erroneous principle. Put another way each person must prove it out for himself or herself or the following happens. Galileo, " I don't need to look through your telescope because I KNOW what you are claiming is wrong". The proof offered here will be a re-interpretation of the observed results of the Michaelson-Morley interferometer of 1887. This relevant quote by Albert Szent-Gyorgyi sums it up; "Thus the task is not to see what no one else has seen but to think differently about that which everyone sees."

Author Bio

My name is Gerry Klein and I am 63 years old, married, with 3 sons and I have just recently retired after working for the last 44 years as a longshoreman on the Vancouver waterfront. This I thought would only be a temporary job while I struggled to establish the truth of life for myself so that I could then go on to earn a living doing something, I had not idea what, that would be fun, enjoyable and at the same time useful. The main ideas contained in this essay are the results so far.

Very interesting read. This has a lot in common with my theory of time (Time acording to dano, 45 down from yours or 87 up from first, posted 12-1 10:53) except for the cause. I propose time is not V=S/T but is

I am a little bit confused by "Motion Of Nothing", perhaps you could describe this notion a little more ?

Daniel;

Yes, I think there is common ground.

Iacob Sute;

The motion of something is the movement of physical objects. The "Motion of Nothing" is the constant outward progression of both Space and Time. Both progressions are constantly ongoing and are united as motion according to the formula V=S/T. The same formula used to analyze the motion of objects. This progression of motion, the progression of time and space cannot be physically sensed at this most basic level of motion because there is "Nothing Moving" no physical object to show this movement. It must be inferred as existing by the strange result of the Michelson-Morley experiment. This motion is the most fundamental existent of the universe and is the expansion (progression) outward of space and time at the speed of light from all locations whether occupied (by objects) or not! This progression, which is motion, is INDEPENDENT OF OBJECTS. That makes it absolute and a moving frame of reference that can be used to relate accurately all the relative motions of the physical objects of the universe. Science has detected the movement of galaxies rushing outward away from our location and has correctly inferred that it is the space that is rushing away and carrying the galaxies with it. This is the physical evidence of the progression of space outward far away from us. We do not sense the space expansion here because "gravity" holds it so to speak stationary in the close vicinity of earth. However because of the reciprocal nature of space and time in motion the opposite condition will apply to time. Time we will sense as rushing, progressing, "moving" by us here. The closest explanation is that this concept "the Motion of Nothing Moving" is equivalent to the introduction of the Zero Concept into Mathematics the concept of nothing.
