Essay Abstract

Time understanding is an endless search for the comprehension of the present universe. One of the main domain used to described in a comprehensible manner the behaviour of material (solid, fluid, gaz) is contiuum mechanincs. A discussion on the essence of time in such domain will be presented in the present paper. Insight on time nature will also be proposed.

Author Bio

Alexandre Paradis is currently finishing is Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He has been teaching several physics classes to enginneering student for the last 6 years at both l'Ecole de Technologie Superieure and l'Universite de Montreal. he is mainly interested in the physical meaning of irreversible process. For the present, he is working on constitutive equations to describe solid phase transition in shape-memory alloy.
